CBFS Routes in Google Earth

Post by blanston12 »

Edit: link updated 2007-05-01, see below for description.

http://home.comcast.net/~joe.cusick/cbfs/flynet_CBF.zip

I have updated my google earth route map to include the airports we use. The information on the airports is pretty basic right now but I hope to enhance it.

The link to the earlier version was lost when we had to restore the forum from a backup.

In the Places menu you can open up the cbfs.kml inside Temporary Places, inside of that you can turn on or off the routes for specific aircraft types.

Hi, nice piece of work...

When I disable all routing except for Super VC10, at some point Google Earth looses the routing lines (the magenta one in this case), do you know why?

Hi Dan,

Isolating all apart from SVC10 still works for me so not sure why you are having a problem.

OK, tried it again.... zoomed in to an airport, and clicked the FLYnet link which leads me to the loginpage.

Zip...the line disappeared.

I can't seem to find a way to get it back again. Not even closing the FLYnet link windows does it... :dunno:

Hi Dan,

Very odd. Have you saved the file to your 'my places' ? I get the link opening in a lower window and all route lines remain visible.
