I had the pleasure of flying on BBVH from Algiers to Gib when I was a young lad

I thought Kai Tak was a hard approach until I tried Gibraltar!

Continuing my jaunt around Europe in the BAC-1-11, I flew from Alicante to Gibraltar (R/way 09 approach) this evening. That turn to finals is very, very tight indeed. I made such a mess of the first approach that I had to go-around. Got it right the second time out, but from the virtual cockpit you lose sight of the runway at the crucial moment meaning that you have to depend more on luck than sheer skill. Anyway, got her down in one piece. Next stop: Lisbon!

I know what you mean; somehow a VC-10 only looks right when finished in blue and gold (sorry Tonks!).

The greys fine as it has the extra business bits as well and better than the cammo one  they had at first

Can't imagine a Golden Speedbird with a refueling probe and hoses  :huf:

Yes.. I see what you mean Garry. You could take the probe as a giant pitot tube but the refuelling rigs do spoil the lines a little

What I meant was: To my opinion a VC10 looks it best in the livery that currently exists or in the liveries once whored....wored....weared  , Argh..what the heck... you know what I mean.... (why is it so hard to use past-sense ... -tense .... -time .......) :dunno:
