Trident 2 'Special Charters'

Post by RAF_Quantum »

Hi Guys,

Freshly refurbished Trident 2's are now ready for departure from New York and Chicago.

Image

G-AVFD, G-AVFI, G-AVFJ and G-AVFM are all at KJFK. G-AVFE and G-AVFH are both at KORD. All aircraft are destined for Manchester, UK.

Red = Booked/already delivered

Routings

CBF2200
0800 KJFK - CYYR 1015
1215 CYYR - BIKF 1515
1715 BIKF - EGCC 1930

CBF2300
0800 KORD - CYYR 1100
1300 CYYR - BIKF 1600
1800 BIKF - EGCC 2015

Fuel prices : KORD = 1.10, KJFK = 1.35, CYYR = 1.11, BIKF = 1.19

Post below BEFORE you intend to depart for KJFK/KORD to commence the flight and state which aircraft you will be flying. There is only one flight scheduled for each sector per flight number so only book the sector when you are ready to fly or you will block it for other pilots. All Trident 3 rated pilots now have Trident 2 ratings.

It is unlikely that there will be any further Trident 2 'Special Charters' after these.

Rgds

G-AVFH has been delivered to Manchester.

I wanted to take it one more step and use it to return to Heathrow but there are no Trident 2 routes out of manchester.

So I ended up using a 111-200 to return to heathrow as the only other AC available that had a route to EGLL that I was rated for.

All the T2's have been delivered from KORD but there are still three more at KJFK.

Aren't we supposed to use the Doves for intra-hub flights?

Hi Chris,

Normally speaking, yes, but in this case the 1-11 200 has a base at EGCC and EGLL so is a legitimate use of the aircraft as there is a route scheduled for it.

I would have used a dove if a route had been setup for it.

Hi Joe,

You've probably forgotten that bit. I've made the 'Doves flown their nest' a stickie now for a quick ref. Most direct EGCC-EGLL is via EGNX.

John,

Your right, I did forget that bit. Had it not been so late I would have studied it a bit closer rather than just taking the quickest option.

Joe.
