Maybe...

I was thinking of starting a thread about cheese, having just enjoyed 3 fine specimens of cheddar, brie and stilton... :smile:

A topic close to my heart, Charlie.

You'll wait all next week for this uneducated lot to work out the answer, Sean, so I'll put them out of their misery. :wink:

The answer's 'mur' or in English, 'wall'.

Je ne comprende pas! :dunno:

If its a nursery rhyme (or meant to sound like one), then perhaps its in a similar vein to this; try reading it with your best Herr Flick German accent (just dont try translating it!!)

Dick Wien auf Harz
Sie meint samt Artz
Orlon ass um er steh
Der Neffe farht
Der stoltz sie tats'
Und Tuch dem Reiterweh

On the same lines, what well-known weekend pastime does this bit of cod French translate to?

Pas d'elle yeux Rhône que nous!

Very good, Toby, yours is;

The Queen of Hearts
She made some tarts
All on a summer's day etc.

I'm not sure whether you really don't understand Sean's rhyme or are just joking but if you don't it works in exactly the same way to give Humpty Dumpty.
