MSFS 2024 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

I have noted the basic, recommended and ideal specs for running this. It seems fairly clear that an i7 CPU and upmarket GPU are needed.
I don't think my computer will handle these new tech. plug in bits, and the decent GPUs are just below and above $AU2,000.
I have looked up ready built towers and found some in the same ballpark, so they obviosly don't contain anything like the ideal specs.
I also see that 2024 is about triple the cost of FSX, so it looks like an expensive move.
Is anyone running 2024 on equipment at the basic end of the specs, and if so, are you plagued with freezes, dropouts and crashes?

Hi Mike,

I’ll have a think over the weekend. My PC is an off the shelf Dell from about 4 years ago and it runs FS2024 well with a 2k monitor. I did increase the memory in it, and add a SSD for Flight sim, but otherwise happy.

You are correct!!!! MS2024 requires more powerful computer due to sheer amazing graphic capacities!!

I usually spent an average of 1,500 buck per laptop every 3 years past many years for use of FSX and all other daily computing needs. Now if I want to buy laptop for use of MS2024, it is going to be 4,000 buck!!!

Basic ideal system for desktop computer or laptop for use of MS2024 is

64 GB ram
no less than 16 GB video ram dedicated
i9 ultra core with highest mhz as possible
5 TB SSD drive

Well it might be true that the basic ideal system for desktop computer or laptop for use of MS2024 is 64 GB ram, no less than 16 GB video ram dedicated, i9 ultra core with highest mhz as possible, and 5 TB SSD drive that will cost 4 thousand bucks in US dollars ONLY ONLY for laptop but it is possible that you can get desktop for same configuration for 2,500 bucks to 3,000 bucks both in US dollars. Some flight simmers managed to get that configuration for 2,000 bucks.

It might sound expensive to anyone especially to me but the price pays off if anyone uses laptop or desktop for 5 or 6 years which I am doing so. HECK, I am typing on Sony Vaio laptop that is 15 years old and my flight simming laptop which is MSI laptop is now 7 years old and doing well for FSX. I have 1 or 2 year old Acer laptop that is supposed to replace my Vaio but it is hard for me to give up that Sony laptop after 15 years of internet surfing and screenshot editing via photo editing softwares.
