I have just watched an absolutely hilarious show from Oz on the telly! It was called 'Utopia' in Australia and is about a fictitious government agency know as the National Building Authority. My local PBS station (WETA_UK) features many British shows and some from Australia. The episode I saw was from season 1 and concerned building a high speed freight line from Melbourne to Sydney and Brisbane, despite the fat that several prior studies had shown that this project was not feasible. The next episode concerned a developer that wanted to build a multi-story residential building despite a restriction of the height allowed in the jurisdiction. All in all, an interesting take on government bureaucracy and ineptitude.
If it shows up on your local station, I can highly recommend it. Reminded my somewhat of "The Office" (British version.)

Re: Dreamland (ABC-TV) Australia
It was compulsory viewing in the Airspeed household while it was on, Nigel. I think series 2 or 3 fell horribly flat, when they tried too hard.
In one episode, they spent millions putting an ecological tunnel under a freeway, to allow native animals to cross without being run over. The feral cats discovered the outlets, sat there, and ate everything that exited.
