I do not know what the yellow tube connecting to the plane is for!!!

The yellow pipe is probably for aircon/heating for the cabin.

I agree with Steve, there are pictures somewhere on the net showing these pipes leading into the Vulcan in hot sticky climates to cool down the cockpit prior to the crews boarding.
