Ah it's not so bad, being snowed in is just nature's way of saying "what's in the freezer?"

Best part is that the fit young men of our road joined forces - making a total of 2 - and then proceeded to dig all our cars out of the snow. Wonderful gesture but we couldn't drive anywhere because our road was under 3 foot of snow! And today is a small river of meltwater heading for the river Tweed.

Every time this 'event' happens I promise to get a 4 x 4 SUV and by spring I've forgotten all about it. I s'pose we never learn eh?
