Made me wonder, if the Britons hadn't been chased into the Welsh hills by invaders way back, whether their language would be as widespread as English is today?:

My Da was born into a Welsh speaking family, in fact my Nain and Taid (grandparents) never spoke English at all. My Da and his siblings were taught English after they started school. They had a farm in Snowdonia.

I'm a common Welsh person with the surname of Williams.
