USB controller drivers?

Following on from my other PC Desktop troubles:
SanDisk now say that my disk needs to be replaced, as it's not writing and reading fast enough.

Meanwhile, I can't do any FS because my yoke & pedals aren't identified.
This is because the USB controller driver is not present.
I've tried the tip of - uninstall device - restart W7, whereupon W7 says it is installing drivers for new hardware...followed by driver not installed or found message.
I've looked up references until I'm sick of looking; they all seem to be rather seedy places with poorly spelt notes, and they give the impression that something else will come with the drivers . MS has some info and kits for IT brainboxes, which excludes me!
Does anyone know of a safe way to get these drivers loaded please?

I feel your pain. My X-52 throttle is no longer recognised. I put this down to the latest W10 update which buggered up FSX for me with a Child window pop up fault which is partially fixed now. But my X-52 when I plug it in it is recognised for a few seconds then vanishes promptly. Fortunately I have Saitek throttle quadrants which can step up after a fashion (they are not very accurate) but it is an annoyance par excellence.

If you know the manufacturer of the motherboard and / or chipset you should be able to d/l set from their respective manufacturer web site.

The 1709 update seems to have screwed up W10 to be able to view 2d pop ups when using directx9
I upgraded to win 10 last week and very nearly downgraded back to a very stable win7 that i've had for 6 years or so as unable to create child window stopped me flying every aircraft in the hangar. The only reason I need w 10 is the new hardware ive promised myself is only supported with w10 drivers
On checking avsim forum it seems MS have released a hotfix yesterday KB4051963
Tested and 2 flights in 146 flown with no problems with 5 pop up panels opened

From the problems reported here, and on other FS related areas, my distinct impression is that W10 is a crock of sh1t3 and it stinketh.

I wouldn't go near it with a barge pole!

The 2 x 3.0 USBs are NEC, and I downloaded the NEC/Renesas driver, which told me there was no hardware for the driver.
Wrote to NEC, but heard nothing. The USBs seem to be soldered directly onto the motherboard, so no loose wires. I'm not going to test my electronics soldering lack of skills on the connections, after all, there were no problems earlier, and the MB hasn't been subject to physical abuse.

UPDATE!
NEC have now responded, by redirecting me to Gigabyte's site.
Landed in a different spot to previous visit, and the asked for MB reference; this then told me the version of the NEC/Reneses driver that I needed, which is older than the one I d/l previously.
Short story is that both USB 3.0s are now happily accommodating my flight controls.
Confidence slowly returning.....
