I've just installed Orbx's Open LC North America, which came out a few days ago, and what better way to have a look than to tour rural Pennsylvania in MJ & Company's C-37 V3. This is one of the new external models that Manfred released this week.
What a delight this aircraft is. And you can trim it for level flight too !
Joe, I had Orbx's Vector, Global, HD Trees and their new OpenLC North America running, along with Pilots FTX Mesh, Opus weather engine and I think Rex Soft Clouds too. I was getting about 45 to 55 fps at the time that picture was taken. My impression is that OpenLC North America has had little impact on frames, but of course that might vary depending on the system specs and graphics settings.
EDIT: Sorry, probably didn't make that very clear. What I meant was that with the other add-ons also loaded, I'm not sure what fps impact Open LC North America has. It ran very well for me, so I can't point to anything that might affect frame rates.
Brilliant screen shots Paul, have you tried the black texture for the cockpit?
I tried the texture.black interior for the cockpit but found that there were some green left over paint when the DV window was opened so instead used the texture.blackint which I find much better for the other cockpits.
Regards
Nigel.
I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.

Thanks Nigel, and no I haven't tried the black VC texture, though I am aware of it. It looks rather swish, doesn't it. I'm keeping an eye on the new external textures more than anything, though. I hope some of the V2 repaints are updated, such as the French Indochina and USAF Vietnam ones.
A couple more from this afternoon, while I've been seeing if the older repaints work with V3. They seem to, other than a small grey rectangle on the port nacelle just behind the wing leading edge ( visible in both pictures ). If that's the only problem with the V1 and V2 repaints, then it isn't a problem at all.
