Was this a one-off trip or a regular thing? The reason I ask is I fancy making model of Eddsfield for P3D/FSX and would value measurements and photos taken on site by somebody there is person.

Lovely stuff Graham!
This is the little one which you often pass, and promised us photos of, IIRC.
That's an interesting looking barn behind your gate guardians!
Something I noticed when building sim. scenery, and during attempts on my HO layout, is how small we and our buildings are, in comparison to the surroundings.
See how the trees dwarf the control building.

Me too, Eric. .....
And me, my one and only experience of aerobatics. I felt so sick afterwards.

That's correct Mike. Joan's ashes are in the columbarium of the Crematorium on the other side of the main road past the "Gate Guards" and a little to the right.
Yesterday wasn't a particularly good day for photographs, and I was using my phone - attracted by seeing the Chippie on the way past and decided to call in on my way back home. I intend to call again when I have dusted off my box brownie.
The view along the runway was taken with my back to the line of trees/main road, towards York. A slight crosswind left to right yesterday. It has always amused me to see the sign warning of aircraft because of the high trees on both sides of the road. Any aircraft being low enough to interfere with my driving along would most surely be in serious trouble methinks.

BTW, have you ever been offered the chance of a flight? With your wit and humour I am sure that you would be in great demand as a co-pilot!!

Nigel.
I have only ever seen Ed of Eddsfield once when he gave me permission to take pictures. Been like a ghost ship every other time, but there again I don't always call in. Depends on weather and my health at the time.
