Hello Chaps,
My cadet Sqn is wanting to have two screens side by side to form the view seen from the cockpit, i.e. The FSX "cockpit" view option.
What's the best method to achieve this?
Thanks,
Paul

Re: Split Screen
Having just Googled this question it would appear that the answer could be yes...if...you are willing to spend some money on hardware (besides the two monitors). Apparently you can't do it directly from FSX and would need to buy a 'Double Head 2 Go' or a 'Triple Head 2 go' system from Matrox (the triple head will run three monitors).
I run two monitors on FSX but the main monitor runs FSX while the second is used to hold pop-windows (GPS, radio stack etc.), my FSTramp moving map, FS Host Client window(s) for multiplayer connections and my TeamSpeak window for voice comms.

Re: Split Screen
If your PC will support two monitors without the matrox box it is simple, check how many video outputs you have on the back, my last PC had a VGA and a DVI so I could run two monitors, current PC has FIVE outputs, unfortunately I only have room for four on my desk!

Old pilots never die, they just run out of runway.
Re: Split Screen
Hello,
We have three screens available. One for the instrument panel, and I've mounted two side by side, almost a cockpit window each.
But, it states that dragging a window over two screens is not good, nor does it seem to work.
If you imagine the cockpit view without the instrument panel showing, I want that over two screens.

I have zero experience with this area, but you might want to try this:
