HS-748 working in P3Dv2.5?
I'm sure this topic has come up before, but a quick search didn't reveal such, so here it is. I have been looking forward to flying the beloved 748 in Prepar3d v2 for many weeks. Tonight, I installed it along with the FSX upgrade, and was saddened to see the VC switches do not work. Is this a P3d issue? If so, is there a workaround?

Cant test it at the moment, but when you load the aircraft in the sim, try switching to the 2D panel and then back to the VC.
Ben.

Tried that. Unfortunately, no luck.

Chad..
I don't have P3D so I can't check for you but someone here must have the 748 running in that sim. DaveG is on a fortnights holiday at the mo and I'm sure he'll check it for you when he gets back but in the meantime, fingers crossed one of the members will jump in to either confirm or deny what you're seeing

Didn't I read somewhere that FS9 native VCs won't work in P3D, or at least from 2.X onwards?
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's been the conventional understanding over at SOH - hope for your sake I'm wrong, though ...

I know that DaveG tried my Dragonfly which is FS9 native in P3D & he said mouse clicks do not work in VC.

Im afraid that after extensive research, its safe to conclude that the HS-748 will NOT work in version 2 of P3D. Despite the panel being ported to FSX, the model remains an FS9 code, which makes the VC unusable in P3Dv2. I surprised I'm the first to post about it though.

Thanks, Chad for your research, but the same also applies to the One-Eleven, Trident and Comet.Chad556 wrote:Im afraid that after extensive research, its safe to conclude that the HS-748 will NOT work in version 2 of P3D. Not quite, I first reported this in Sep 2014,Chad556 wrote:I surprised I'm the first to post about it though.

I see that now Kevin. Tragic!
Oh well... You take the good with the bad. Theoretically, I can still fly it, but only using the 2D panel... and whats the fun in that anymore?!?!

Re: HS-748 working in P3Dv2.5?
Must admit I prefer the 2D panels from an operation perspective and then go to the VC to have a look around. Horses for courses I suppose.
Ben.
