Thanks for the hu Dave. :) Europe may have been freed on this date but my FlightSim funds still suffer under the yoke of that evil dictator 'Bill Collector'. No new toys for me. *sigh* :( But thanks for the kind offer A2A.

Thanks Lewis. That may just be long enough for me to crack

EDIT: Talking of which.. does the Strat have an idiot mode or do you have to fly it by the book to stop it falling from the sky?

Yes, this might be enough to make me crack too. I've laid flight simming aside a little in the past weeks ( too wrapped up with Caesar in Gaul ;) ) but the A2A itch is still there, and there's lots of lovely aircraft still on the shopping list. Hmmm.. P-47, Spitfire or Skylane ? Decisions decisions.

EDIT: Dave B - regarding the idiot mode in the Strat: I know you can turn Accusim off in the sim ( there's a little pop-up panel with a tick-box ) but I've always had it selected, so I'm not sure how much it simplifies things when its unticked. Unfortunately, along with a load of other aircraft, I've yet to reinstall it so I can't try it out for you.

Does it only come with Accusim then? *-) I want something to have occasional fun in. That doesn't include being a switch bosun *-)

No, you can buy the Strat without Accusim, just as with other A2A models. By the way, the Strat's Accusim module is called Captain of the Ship - its got a bit more in it than the usual aircraft systems replication, mainly related to passengers and their welfare.

Quite tempting,
Seriously looked at the Piper 180, as I already have the C172.
Putting that degree of realism with FS Flying School would take me back!
If, if, if, regret that AU$50 puts it off the shopping list even with the sale.
