Post by Paul K »

Looks like I'll be contributing to Rob Randazzo's luxury yacht fund once more.

Some great screenshots there. It will be a definite for me once the P3DV2 version is out. :)

Now that certainly has wetted my appetite!! Having purchased the Just Flight DC6 at Xmas( for a very hefty £5) 8) it somehow gives me the impression from the cockpit that it was originally a FS9 version upgraded. I might be wrong but that is the feeling I have about it. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy flying the old girl especially since installing GaryJ's soundset but this PMDG version will be something to seriously consider after reading the review.

Just one thought or rather two......How much will it be and secondly how will the model fare on an i5? I have heard that PMDG models are quite hungry resource wise? :dunno:

Hi Nigel :)

I think we'll have to wait till nearer the time for answers regarding price and system specs. It's going to be a while yet, I think, before the FSX and P3D versions are released. It's remarkable to think that the DC-6B project was revealed just over three years ago.

:)

Hi Paul, many thanks for the update, briefly from what I read on the link it appeared that it wasn't too far from being released though my time at the library is restricted and could not read all of it!! :( As you wrote if it was three years ago since the project was announced then by all accounts it won't be in the near future and by the time it eventually goes on sale one of two things will stop me from buying it. Either my computer will by then have become obsolete or I will too senile to fly it!! 8)
