I see Airfix are releasing the Vickers Vanguard in BEA livery and the Comet in the later BEA livery in 2015, wonder if the VC10 will be next

Yeah, about bloomin' time! I was really annoyed last year when their civil offerings were just repaints of the 737 and a 707!

Hi Tony,

Unfortunately Airfix reworked the moulds when they changed the VC10 into a tanker.

So they won't reissue the VC10 in civilian guise unless they start from scratch, which is possible, but unlikely. You can convert the tanker kit yourself, and after-market decals are available.

Hi Garry, never heard of Roden, see they are planning a Britannia as well

I just had a nice BOAC Airfix VC-10 sent to me from the states, box ok ish but the kit is still sealed in its bag... that will go with my RAF VC10 I have as well, now do I build or eBay and make a few bob
