All to do with Dr Richard Whitcombe and the area rule, and the development of boundary layer blowing
aka BLC, (keeping the ducts airtight was a pain!) allowed flying surfaces to be reduced in area.

You'll just have to swop the 'H' to a 'V' to keep it authentic
