A quick HU that the next and final version of HMS Victorious from Flying Stations is on the slipway. A little more info here.. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/s ... -Very-Soon

Carrier ops most certainly add one of the best aspects to FSX IMHO and they require rather more than a modicum of concentration to be done right.. not least of all because many dev's put HUD's in models and glass reflections that you can barely see out of or through so even if you find your carrier.. you don't actually get to see what you're landing on very clearly until the point of no return.. B O L T E R!!! C'Ops will also find holes in FD's that would otherwise go un-noticed so while your 'supposed' Naval aircraft will land easy-peasy-lemon-sqeezy on your average 10'000ft runway.. they can handle like a bag of brown stuff when your landing area is the size of a decent back garden and you're trying hard not to rely on the last wire (though the last wire will do) It's a lot of fun and I commend it to the house!
I've read tutorials on Carrier Ops but have never quite understood what I would actually get from a carrier package. Some seem to offer great detail but I haven't worked out how to access all the features included. I'm sure I'm missing a great deal and would like to get involved. I have FSX Acceleration. I have HMS Victorious in the Reserve Fleet at the moment.
Oh indeed mate. Some carriers have so much detail, I really wonder why. Does anyone really want to go below decks and look inside the hangar/s. I've yet to find out how you go to many of these places and to be honest, I'm not that fussed. It's like highly detailed cabins in larger aircraft. If I can't see inside by panning around, I don't see inside
