Oh... goto flightsim.com and search for Fraser McKay, first file that shows up a very nice and advanced panel for the Lockheed Jetstar I

Smashing looking panel (as always) Fraser is one of the most diligent modellers I've come across, the detail in all of is panels is superb... and he does the xml manually in notepad!

...but I can't find the aircraft to go with it? Popped over to HJG and I can't see any mention of a JetStar in the downloads list. Is it still to be released? *-)

Agreed, great work, but consider the source. I grabbed it as soon as I saw something new out from Fraser.

Its from the OLDE Historical Jets Group, not the current one so no support from them on this.
I posted over there also on this. I noticed that the reversers indicate all four deployed but the animation is only the outboards (like the VC-10). Is that a carry over from the old model?

As you are venturing into Bizjets, can we hope for a Lear 23 or a Sabreliner in the future?

The JetStar was equipped with thrust reversers on all its engines, that's why there are four handles and four indicator lights. Another error on the model is the deployment of the leading edge flaps with the first stage of trailing edge flaps. The le flaps deployed with the first lever movement, the trailing edge flaps only extend when the lever is in position 2 and 3. That said, given its age, the original model is very good.

This was only released as it was sitting on my system after a long period of dormancy, but it seemed a shame to waste it. I won't be doing any more bizjets or otherwise, I only did this one as I always liked the JetStar and it had an interesting cockpit.

Cheers

Fraser

Fraser,

It is not an error in the model with the reversers. Dee modeled the original JetStar I (JetStar 23) which did not have reversers on all 4 engines. Only the later Garrett powered JetStar II (JetStar 25) and JetStar Is that had been converted to Garrett power had them on all 4.
