Horizon Playsims VFR vs VFR real scenerey

I was just about to buy the Horizon Playsims VFR southern (which is less than £15 on Ebay) when I got an email from Just Flight offering the whole England and Wales VFR Real scenereyset for £10! (48 hour offer)

So what is best? Am I right in thinking Treescape, dynamic vehicles and UK2000 only work with Horizon/Playsims VFR?.... and it's better too?

Hi mate,

Personally I think the Horizon one is better, however, if we assume each of the Horizon parts is £15 each, that's £45 for the lot, v's £10. Is it that much better... Umm. I like the horizon stuff, and i'd still probably prefer it... But if i'd never had either i might be happy enough with the JF one, especially at £10.

I have seen both (I downloaded a demo of the JF VFR scenery) and my chef at the pub bought it.. thinking it was GenX My honest opinion of the JF scenery is that it had a pale hue to it.. perhaps a slightly 'over green' hue that you don't see with any version of GenX. Off the top of my head, I can't say if Treescapes is compatible. I know it's compatible with GenX and this is where the rub lies. GenX without Treescapes, while nice is also as boring as hell.

I've just had a look on EarthSim and it doesn't mention compatibility at all.. it only says 'your UK Photographic Scenery'.. http://earthsimulations.com/product/tre ... uk_bundle/

That's a good price for the 3 UK areas too

IF (a big if) it works with JF's VFR Photo.. you get England and Wales plus the 3 Treescapes areas for £30. I wish I could be 100% certain the 2 will mix though

Yes VFR without trees is very bland. I think I’ll stick with the devil I know and look forward to a painful session trying to install the Horizon stuff. I still haven’t managed to get the hi res cities patch installed successfully into the central and Wales yet.
