Again, excuse my ignorance, but is Flyaway Simulations closely connected with some of our members here? They list some familiar names in their download schedule.

Re: Flyaway
Dunno Mike. I've just had a quick look and saw mention of Brian's Nimrod but that was all

Oh No! Not a register of members interests needed! An interesting thought though.

Re: Flyaway
I paid them for a month's sub just to get the +/- 300 mission flights from them without it taking ages to download.
However, it came to my notice that they are giving people credit for "updating" proper dev's models "to FSX standard".
Yes, one of those. The thing is, they often are crediting the so-called "FSX version" to people such as Bob Chicolo and Danny Garnier, to name but two, instead of the originals like Milton Shupe and so on (and I'm sure, some of the devs here).
I know what our friendly devs think of this and I share their sentiment - so I won't be paying another cent to FlyAway sims. Oh - and some of their so-called "Review" articles are just plain wrong. When you point out their errors they play the innocent "we didn't realise" card - but change nothing.
Not worth wasting your time with.

Oh my! I tried to d/l a simple 7Mb mission from there - took over 35 mins when I gave up and canx it, and I have High Speed cable! Nothing there that cannot be found elsewhere imho AND quicker (yes that includes you Simviation lol)

Re: Flyaway
Alex, if you can't find that file elsewhere, I'm happy to grab it from FlyAway and upload it to free storage.
Have to be soon, mind, as my sub runs out at the end of the month.
In fact, I downloaded all of the missions there, so no worries anyway

Re: Flyaway
Interesting to see your comments.
Can't remember whose names I recognised.
I had written to the site, pointing out that the use of "112th sqn" was inappropriate for reference to RAF or RAAF.
Haven't been back to see if it went anywhere.
Hi JOhn,
You took a one month subscription? What did that set you back, may I ask?

Re: Flyaway
Seems like a bunch of crooks are grabbing all they can from other sites and passing it off as their own.
Shades of “FS Planet” I think.
A lot of work has gone into it though.
