I haven't had FS9 on here in ages, but I'll stick the default one on and let you know Trev, I'm pretty sure it works fine, but I always use a separate drive for FS which mght be having an impact. I'll get back to you later this evening :)

It installed normally, but prompted to install directPlay when I launched it for the first time. I let it install this and all seems well. Some flickerin in Multi Monitor when switching between FS9 and the OS, but that's been common place for years. You can see the screen grab captured both monitors. Click on the image for full size.

I've been running Windows 8 since getting my new computer, and have hesitated on upgrading to Windows 8.1.

Since Windows 8 is working fine for me I don't want any upgrade to change any of my video or audio drivers.

Also, I'm really not clear as to what additional benefits Windows 8.1 brings other that improved management of multiple monitors (which I don't have).

Any more comments on these issues?

Thanks

Its just a service pack in effect, hasn't done any harm on my system.
