Button Assisgnments

Post by PaulC »

Hello All,

I appear to be a source of never ending questions at the moment. *-)

Is there a way to map a button on a controller or keyboard to non-standard FS commands. By this I mean things like the autopilot controls such as the turn knob or pitch wheel?

I know that they are clicked on with the mouse, but I was wondering if they can be done by other methods. These bods who have oodles of money and home build cockpits manage all sorts don't they? :cpu:

Thanks,

Paul

Well, it won't do it by itself, you'll have configure it

With FSUIPC you can assign any button to just about any default FS control you can think of, and there are usually ways to assign buttons to complex 3rd party addons that use non-standard or custom coding.

If you haven't got it installed, you can always download the documentation here: http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66137-documentation/ to have a look though.
