Disappearing Sea FSX

Post by simondix »

On FSX my sea has disappeared on US West coast. I have Orbx installed plus TongassX. Anybody had same problem?

It is a layering issue, you will have to layer either the Tongrass above FTX or vice versa.
I had a similar with Vancouver+, it is made by the same folks that do Tongrass

Ian might know, but I remember some talk about a switch in orbx so as when its installed it knows which region to update. Could be completely wrong though, but its niggling at the back of my head.

Hi Simon. I've got Tongass Fjords X installed as well as the surrounding ORBX/FTX sceneries. Southern Alaska to the north and Pacific Fjords to the south. And Pacific NorthWest even further south

All my sceneries display correctly with no issues and I don't remember seeing anything in any of the forums about your water problem. As it's not ORBX scenery you don't have to do anything with the Orbx control panel.

I've just checked and my Tongass Fjords scenery is below all of my FTX sceneries in the scenery library and in this order:

Tongass_Fjords_Higher_Priority
Tongass_Fjords_Lower_Priority

If you still have problems, the best place to ask is in the Orbx/FTX support forum in the compatibility section. The reason being that Holger Sandmann, who was the leading developer of Tongass Fjords, now works for Orbx and also created the two adjoining FTX sceneries to blend with Tongass. He is very active on the forum so you should get an answer before long.

Ian :)

Thanks for all your answers. If it was global warming I wouldn't have any land
