Well at 87 she had a good innings,

Roger.

Glad to see the back of her at last. Not a woman I liked at all, narrow minded and power crazy to the nth degree. She deprived millions of children of an important life building nutrient in the 60's (me amongst them) and her policies in later life cost millions of Britons their jobs and livelihoods (me on at least two occasions).

It's been a bleak year so far but today I saw a glimpse of a brighter future.

I personally think she was the last British Prime Minister who actually believed in being British. Since then they have all been out for themselves.

The last one to have a backbone, Major sold us out to Europe (Maastricht treaty) and Blair and Brown took us deeper by signing the Amsterdam, Nice and Lisbon treaties. And Cameron is a wimp.

I'll nail my colours to the mast here. She was great for this country when we needed her the most. Only other PM I ever rated was Winston Churchill.

Yes I am a Tory voter.

The greatest woman of the 20th century. Her major failing was a failure to listen to others, but she restored Britain's pride in itself, had the courage of her convictions , and gave people ambition to better themselves . RIP Hilda Margaret Thatcher

I'm on the 'Pro' side on this too. As a serving member of the Armed Forces when she came to power, she won my vote easily by upping our pay and then some  Prior to this, it was abysmal.. believe me!

RIP Mrs T.

I liked her. I even met her once and she was very nice if remote. She was a very great statesperson when the country needed one.
