Thanks, Dave. It's not normally my sort of thing, either, but I do like that glass cockpit. It's quite tempting and I can see myself coming back for another look every couple of weeks. I wonder how much of a learning curve it would be to get the hang of all the features :worried:

Colin? Hammer!

Very popular in the real world. They have 'Ballistic parachutes'.

Funning thing though, most Cirrus seem to have retain US registration even though they can be found on the various registers *-)

Hi Dave,

That's a fun looking plane, i have been toying with the idea of buying the Carenado's Archer for FSX to replace the one i have for F9 but i think i will wait a while and try this little Tinker! as you say, ;)

US$ at the moment is about £22 and i'm sure we will be able to get it a bit cheaper in a while,

Carenado do make some great models don't they, IMHO ;)

Your Lunar Flight has gone for a Burton Dave i think i have enough to Play with,

Thanks for HU,

Roger.

Well...that's what they call it...on board emergency parachute

If it gets in trouble, it pops the parachute and the pilot usually walks away from it.

The aircraft has a parachute rather than the occupants. Apparently it works quite well but can be an expensive repair if deployed as it makes a bit of a mess of the airframe, but if it saves lives the cost is probably justified.

Ah yes. I seem to remember a discussion about this a year or two back. *-)

There's nothing in the Carenado advertising blurb about one so I assume they haven't modelled it

Yes Dave, I have bought it...But I find it rather hard on resources at McLeland Field. It would be quite a nice one for a long cruise or perhaps an RTW but I have to say that I do prefer a good set of steam instruments, but I might get to like glass eventually :)

And I thought you were a convert Peter. Nice to know you still like watching needles going up and down and round and around
