Lundy Island ORBX England

Post by dodger »

Hello,

Could someone post a few pics of this Island and what the coast is like down around the Tintagel area,

I would love to see what ORBX have done as the default of this area is not that good,

Thanks,

Roger.

Am I missing something, but I've had a look at Brian's zipped files and they are of Google Map images and not Orbx England screenshots. I don't think I ventured to that part of my local area and concentrated only on South East Cornwall and Plymouth.

Talking of islands, Drake's Island just off the Hoe in Plymouth in Orbx, has a road running straight down the middle with surburban houses on either side - one reason why it has departed my system. I expected something a little bit more realistic than the default, but sadly for me it wasn't to be.

Best wishes,

Martin

Google pics were all I saw too. What are you doing to us Brian?
Cornwall, Devon and Lundy Island looked very real when I holidayed there in the 50s & early 60s; sounds like ORBX didn't do them justice.
Martin - don't put up with what they delivered, create your own scenery on Drake's.
If you need extra help, I hear that Ben is about to issue a one page all-inclusive tutorial on custom scenery.
That right Ben? ....Ben?

That sounds right up my street (groan!). I would like to add the odd building here or there. The village in which I live is one of the highest spots in Cornwall and the RAF and RN use it's Church as a navigation point on low level flying exercises using Hawks, Hercules and whatever those Jetstream replacements are called!! Would be nice to add this and other local landmarks to my GenX scenery.
