As mentioned in another thread, I flew out of Culdrose the other day to find St Michaels Mount had gone in GenXv3.. and I wasn't kidding The new tile is still there but no mount.. just a few trees. I've had a quick shuftie around other known landmarks and they're all still there.
Anyone know why St Michaels Mount may have suddenly been spirited away? There's no visible bomb damage so I guess it wasn't Ian seeking revenge in his B52 Perhaps he's perfected the Philadelphia Experiment?
I'm sorry mate.. I didn't see the location when I first read that post
It IS where you say it should be but for some ungodly reason, it's not visible 'in sim'. It was.. I made a point of going and having a look. Very nice it was too although it slowed my frames down to the mid 20's. Can't remember if FSX liked it much though.. I seem to remember getting an error but can't remember if it was a visualfx error or a memory error. I'd not been back there since.
That thought had occured to me. When I originally installed it, it was at the top of the list as you'd expect. After visiting a couple of airports and finding tree's where they shouldn't be, I moved all the v3 areas below everything except v2. It stopped the rogue trees but may have excluded St Michaels Mount. The only things I have in that area are VFR Airfields vol1 and the ES Scillies, Wolf Rock and Longships. I guess I can move the v3 3D Landmarks above all of that lot. I'll give it a try
EDIT.. Moving the v3 Vol1 3D Landmarks library to the top of the scenery list has brought St Michaels Mount back so one of those tinkers above was causing an exclude
