Truly amazing but this supports my thinking on VC

Some say it should have a VC because I always fly from the VC etc...so in that case you need a VC like this but not an external model.

certainly some work gone into it...I wonder about frame rates??? *-)

Oh dear :-O

Not exactly my cup of tea either.. what is it with us lot and KingAirs?? That's very impressive modelling though.. even if it's a 3D render which tends to show things in a good light. That coiled mic lead must have been a doozy :-O

Is this giving you ideas Brian? :worried:  Incidentally.. just got back out of your Nimrod having tried and failed to get the smoke back :wall:

Actually that would be very easy to do in 3DS Max as I believe it has a 'script' for making springs (and that's all a coiled mic lead is in essence).

Tell it the wire diameter, the coil diameter and the length required and it's made in one click. You could possibly also tell it to generate the polys along a spline so you could create a line representing a hanging loop and have it generate the 'spring' along the length of the spline.

Well there you go.. the rest of it doesn't look so difficult now!

Now.. if it moves with the movement of the aircraft, that'd be something ;)

Strangely enough Dave I just did it too and would you believe it my smoke has gone. It was there last week. Must be the new smokeless AVTUR :dunno:

Let's find a bit of the strong stuff then. I did enjoy the smoke fx on the Nimrod. They were there until I dowloaded the 'Prototype' then there they were.. gone :( Dragged the lot over into a new install and hoped for the best but still nothing *-)

Back to square one - this was take about five minutes ago.....

I think it might have something to do with the surrounding scenery. This is over Ireland which is totally default. The last flight was over VFX England.
