beaufighter panel not showing in FSX

Hello ,am brand new on this site!
But flightsimmer since FS 5.1!

Q:
Athough yr Beaufighter was doing fine in FS2004,d/l FSX version recently!

Sub panels are showing fine ,but not the cockpit itself!?

Moved the zip(cab) file completely to FSX Gauges but no result!

System specs:MS windows 7 home premium 64 bits-sp1-intelcore i5-cpu 650-3.2 gherz-6 gb RAM- Ati Radeon hd 5700 series.

Any suggestions from the board?

Hi, and welcome.

My Beaufighter is FSX only, there never was a FS2004 version. The only FS2004 one was by Alphasim I think, and nothing to do with us.

My one hasn't got a 2D panel, only the VC view with a couple of pop-up panels for radio etc.

Am not a software developer otherwise I would offered my assistance for contructing this panel.

Having seen this a/c in action (or was t a Blenheim) over my place in W2 then,I am very fond of this type.

Any project alike in the pipeline possibly?

We talked about this subject before since a year or so!
Forgot all about this beautifull Beaufighter,how could I!!
About the panel,I can see two files:

BEAU.cab 679kb
Panel.cfg 2 kb

Fully modelled smooth 3D gauges. ????

I can see radio panel/autopilot gps ok,but no main panel!!


Is this ok or not?

Am using W7 64 bit and high end processors /video AMD HD Radion 7700 series etc.

So,give me your expert opion or is there something else I have been overlooking during installation?

In the panel folder, there are only 2 files:

The panel bmp's are in the texture folder:


Do you see all those files in your Beaufighter/texture folder?

EDIT: Going back to what you asked a year ago.. there is NO 2D panel with this model so you must select VC. You don't get 'Smooth 3D gauges' in a 2D environment

As Dave has said, there is no 2D panel for the main instruments, so you have to use the VC.

Is n'"t there anybody in FSX wonderland ,who is able to finalize this subject with a panel!
Am not in the capacity to take action,since being a logistic man.
Where is the obstruction knot or do we have to contribute to obtain a panel.
The Blenheim one is looking o.k.-for eample!

It's not a case of finalising it with a panel

The model is finished, it has no 2D panel and no one is making one I'm afraid.

It's not a simple task.
