Jock Bryce

Post by VC10 »

I remember years ago reading a number of articles by Jock Bryce that were published in the Sunday Express. All I could remember was that they were published in the 70's. Today while I looking at Sir George Edwards biography I found a reference to those articles complete with a date. Cut a long story short, I found and downloaded the articles from http://www.ukpressonline.co.uk. For £6.00 you can get 48 Hrs access to the Daily & Sunday Express archives (for £8.00 you get access to a few other papers as well)

Anyway if you are interested the dates you need are 25th June '78 (his early flying career), 2 Jul ( a Viscount flight that nearly ended in disaster), 9 Jul (the Valiant that caught fire will doing in flt starts), 16 July (VC10 first flight), 23 Jul (One-Eleven crash & aftermath)
