A gift for Garry (and others)

Post by Airspeed »

:hello: ,
Since Garry commented on the incorrect Moon in FS9, I made it my mission to see how I could improve things for you.
I've tracked down, and installed, a copy of Autostar for FS9. It's not hosted anywhere, and even the author, Chris Wright, doesn't know where his copy is.
I've also got the neccessary msvbvm50.dll which Windows will tell you is not compatible, but it sits in the Autostar folder without causing problems.
So if you, or any other ACOF simmers would like to try it, just drop me a PM with your email address, and I'll send the 2 files as attachments.
Sorry it's too late for Christmas, but maybe a New Year gift, guys.
Cheers, Mike.

Now here's an update.
For those of you unhappy about handing out your personal email address, I've uploaded both FS9 and FSX versions of Autostar to my fledgling site, which you can go to using that symbol next to the PM icon.
Cheers, Mike.

Hi Airspeed,

That looks interesting. I recently discovered "44 constellations dans le ciel de FSX" (a modified stars.dat file) and now have something else to try!

Thanks for providing,
David
