I've been doing some circuits at La Guardia with the FSX Captain Sim 727. Sorry 'bout the fumes, Big Apple :worried:

Hi Joe. Still using my old dual core laptop, mate. The never-ending search for perfection was getting on my tits tbh! I was spending so many hours tweaking FS9 to get it 'more real' and eventually I decided I'd got better things to do. I like flying the aircraft but the scenery is never going to be real, is it?

So I went simple. I just run FSX with no scenery add-ons and half a dozen of my favourite, reliable aircraft which I bumble around in with no hassle and no tweaking! Just enough frame rates to keep it all smooth.

I've got the money tucked away for an i7 desktop just for flightsim so I can run some heavier scenery but I don't know when I'd have the time to set it all up so I haven't bothered. Perhaps when I retire!

Ian :)
