Who here flies f16s and f18s in fsx?
Tempted to buy a HOTAS flight stick and just wondered what we thought?

Re: Best HOTAS flight sticks...
I've just spent my 50th Birthday and Christmas pennies on the Saitek X65F force sensing stick & throttle. Not cheap by any stretch of the imagination but possibly the best piece of hardware I've ever bought for FS.
It is mainly metal construction and has a massive number of programmable buttons, switches and hats.
I did wonder how I'd get on with the non moving force sensing stick but it actually feels very natural and the force sensitivity can be adjusted to suit ytour preferences. In a way because you are applying varying force to move the aircraft control surfaces you are getting a kind of force feedback sensation without the bumps & knocks if that makes sense.

I would have liked the X65F too, but my budget only stretched to the X52 Pro, and I'm happy enough with that.

Saitek X65F or the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog if you're wanting to go that route. They're also the most expensive, but both companies aren't known for putting out "cheap" equipment either.

I'm on my second Saitek X52 (not PRO). I bought this one when my first one started showing signs of wear on some of the rotary pots but I had put several hundred hours of flight time on it in over four years of almost daily use. Am I happy with the X52...you betcha!
