Tucano AI will not take off!!

Post by tg13 »

Hi all,i have a problem with the Simshed Tucano AI not taking off,it starts and taxies perfect,BUT will not budge for take off.The only thing i have ammened in the aircraft cfg is the engine type, from 1 (jet) to 5 (turbo prop) the reason behind this is the jet sound was awful.Any ideas please?

Have you tried changing it back to see if that fixes it? *-)

The type of engine I would have thought was more than just the change you made so it could effectively turn off the parameter set as there is a lot of difference between prop thrust and pure jet thrust surely??? :dunno:

I would have thought sound was just the sound line in the cfg, and nothing to do with the engine type??

Do other AI aircraft take off from that same spot...If nothing AI will take off from there it would be an AFCAD error.

Yes it does take off if i revert to the original,i found changing the sound entry makes no difference.Peter, all other AI aircraft taxy and take off perfectly,so no afcad issues.

The sound has nothing to do with performance....so whatever the sound line is alias too is what you hear.

The changing of the engine type will affect performance though *-) :dunno:

If the sound line is blank than it will pick up the whatever sound folder in in the aircraft folder

Have you tried swapping that folder for a T/P one? :dunno:

AI sounds are not taken from the aircraft.cfg or sound folder, they are generic according to engine type.
