WiFi and network help required

Post by tonymadge »

Hi folks, been abit quiet lately due to one thing and another, mainly my WiFi....
I use a laptop with built in WiFi which recieves a poor signal due to distance from Netgear modem/router. I had a card for the laptop LynkSys which worked fine but then stopped suddenly, stating the network could not connect. I tried new drivers and even a new card still same results. Anyone have any ideas???

Hi Tony,

Can it see the router but just not connect to it, or does it not even see it?

Anything else connecting to the router? Can anything else connect?

Can you connect the laptop to the router with a cable to test that the laptop can actually connect if it could.

One of my mates used to work for Virgin media and he reckons that was one of the top calls.
The other, apparently, was angry women trying to find out what all the pay-per-view porn was doing on her bill as her husband wouldn't view such filth...
