Who's a pretty girl then..

Post by DaveB »

Not that I've ever disliked BEA FJ in any way.. I'm begining to like it more than.. dare I say it.. BEA RS! :-O

The Comet looks good in just about anything but I'm particularly fond of it wearing FJ ;)

Nice picture of the Comet. My guess that is in FS2004?

Unless it's a ship, the Virtavia Islander or Brian Franklins WIP Nimrod.. you can pretty much guarantee all of my screenies will be FS9

Yes.. the T3 is a thing of grace and beauty wearing FJ. I did one flight in 'ZO' recently and changed to RT 'British' (not British Airways) for one flight as I like this on the 732 and TriStar. I couldn't wait for the flight to end so I could get back to FJ again  I like RT 'British' but it only really suits little fat ladies like the 732 or monsters like the TriStar/747's.
I knew DM had done a full set of fleet paints for the Comets and couldn't find 'em on this pc so went for a dig in the VA area (Aircraft and Routes) and saw this lovely paint. I was a little disappointed to be honest as I was expecting Airtours to be there but it's not for 'MA'.. the aircraft I'd booked for the flight. That said.. I really like the Comet wearing 'standard' FJ so my disappointment was short lived. ;)

RS is better for me on the Vanguard but FJ better on the Trident.the One-Eleven doesn't go well in either but FJ is better..in my opinion. :)

I prefer the Comet in RS but it did look smart in FJ...Viscount I like equally in both :)

Yeh.. odd how some liveries seem to fit and others don't. I like the Merchantmen wearing FJ Cargo though I was never struck on FJ on the pax aircraft. All my AI 1-11's and Trident's wear FJ and I often just fly around LHR in my FJ Bell Jet Ranger admiring them all mixed in with RT VC10's and 741/742's (the odd Golden Speedbird '10) still lurks there too for good measure ;)
You mention the Viscount.. I like that wearing RT too ;)

I have to agree with Ben-there is nothing quite like the Red Square livery.I always felt that the FJ was a bit insipid, sort of non-descript.I think that RS always looked good on the Comet and 1-11.ATB EricT :)

'Fraid I agree with Dave. This was BEA's attempt to catch up with a style changing world and for me they succeded - much neater than RS
