I am considering flying something larger into here next time. 747SP maybe? *-) :)

Not sure I'd get away with anything larger than a A320 in reality.

Caravelle, 737,400, 727-100 BizJet, 727-200RE airliner and 757 BizJet have been into GCI and that's a bit shorter *-)

Possibly, Garry, but GCI does not have a 4+ degree glide path requirement and it is that as much as runway length which is a constraint at London City

They ARE flying something fairly sizeable out of there these days - I'm on the flightpath, usually treated to some relatively low flypasts of 146's, various Fokkers and Dash 8, but recently been getting a larger tubeliner, a 757 I think, but they all look alike so who can tell.
