Alphasim support

Post by austerdriver »

Well since Alphasim has ceased trading, I haven't been able to get any sort of response out of them at all. :wall:

There is 2 addons that I paid for and would like to get the FSX versions for future use.

So the question is, has anybody else tried to get hold of Alphasim since they have ceased trading and have they had any response?

Hi AD..

You could try asking your questions here.. http://www.virtavia.com/ as these are now what Alphasim once was :)

Have tried that and no response. They may even be away for all I know.

They'll reply at some stage I guess.

When you say you have 2 add-on's and want the FSX versions were they actually released as FSX models? I ask as - if so why did you not download them? If not then they may be a new product released under a different name.
I doubt if the old company will drop the more successful products but I think it may take a bit of time to re-brand them.
Only time will tell and we are all in the dark.
BTW What products were they?

There was separate versions for what ever sim you are using. If FSX you get the FSX file, same for FS2004.

Aircraft were the Caribou and the Sabre

Hi AD..

What pushinpolys is saying is that at the point of download.. there were two options, probably 3. One for the FS9 model, one for the FSX model and one for the paintkit. What the majority of us have done in the past is download the lot! I did even though I wasn't using FSX at the time (be prepared) :)
One thing I didn't do all the time (and it's too late now) was to pull the PK's but there you go ;) I never bought the Caribou or Sabre (nor do I have them!) so I can't help I'm afraid.

Have got the FS2004 versions of the Sabre and the Caribou, just not the FSX versions.

Yes, I know mate. Point being missed is that when you bought both.. you could have downloaded FS9 and FSX versions at the same time.. there was never any extra charge. The price you paid was for either/both plus a PK if available not 'X' amount for the FS9 model then 'X' amount for the FSX version :) Whatever, you didn't do that and now you're using FSX.. you'd like the FSX versions and can't get hold of them. A lesson to be learned

I am sure that they will become available again in due course but when is the key question. I guess it is down to demand and time for the new regime to sort it out but I would have thought the Sabre to be a popular model.
