Ok who's gonna be a genius today?

Post by John »

I've thought about converting CF2 ships to FS2004 (as flyable) for ages and today I finally got around to having a go. Getting it in (HMS Ocean - Not the current one) to FS2004 wasn't that bad. But do you think I can get it to stay on the water? Not a change, does anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong. Here's a couple of pics including one of the problem :-(

The first two shots are in slew mode, hence no problem ;)

No worries Dave, that's why this is the only site that I've always stayed with, there's always someone that can help out, or at least try ;)

Kind regards as always

Are you using the cfg / air files that came from CFS2, or have you substituted them from another FS2004 ship?

It's probably a contact point issue.
I had a similar problem with an aircraft where it would spring up in the air when loaded. Turned out there was a contact point buried underground.

Can you post the [contact_points] section of the aircraft.cfg John? Or tell me where I can download the ship, then I can take a proper look at it :)

PS Does anyone know of a good source of 1960's to present day RN ships suitable for conversion?
