Alphasim Martin Mars
Does anybody on here have the FS2004 version of the Martin Mars by Alphaim? If so could you answer the following question
Do the propellers change pitch in the spotplane view?

Not wishing to sound too smart here - but why would they? I'm assuming it has constant speed props.
My understanding is that the only time you'd see the individual blades at an angle other than fully fine on a constant speed prop would be if the prop had been feathered. Because the pitch is controlled by a governer, until the engine is running at the RPM that has been set with the propeller levers (note - they set the governed RPM, NOT the pitch!), the blades will be in fine pitch, and will get coarser as the speed approaches the selected RPM.
Another factor is I believe that on hydraulic props, at least, the hydraulic pressure comes from the engine, so unless the engine is running, there wouldn't be any pressure to move the blades anyway.

Re: Alphasim Martin Mars
The propeller on on a model is made up of three prop parts. Still, slow and fast
FS mixes the visibility of these to show different speeds. The still has the baldes so if the model supports it you will see the pitch change when stopped on the ground via the lever or when it is feathered
The slow and fast are just discs made and textured to be semi transparent
So it would be impossible for you to see pitch changes on spinning props except perhaps just before stopping and after starting when the still prop part is visible.

I was meaning when the prop is stopped. Not when the engines is running

As I said, my understanding is that you'd not see the blades changing pitch while the prop is stationary.

Re: Alphasim Martin Mars
Some aircraft in FS2004 have props that change when the engines are not running.

Only if it's modelled
