Talking out now to those fab repainters in the FS community
Could someone be able to do a RAF Tornado GR4 repaint please, in the newer light grey colour scheme?
Here is a picture for an example and and video on BBC iplayer, about the tornado, has the jets used are wearing the new paint seem
Is that scheme a new one?? Looks pretty much like the standard grey to me.. darker in the first shot as it's in shade and lighter in the second which is in sunlight. I have the Iris GR4 here somewhere so will see it I can find it but I don't remember the paints being much different to those shots.
Not sure what success you'll get with a repaint from here Matt as we tend to do our own models. UKMIL would probably do it (maybe has done it for himself) but are not able to release repaints for Iris models. If it IS a different shade of grey.. maybe you'll strike lucky
The new painted Tornado GR4's are painted with a lighter grey, the grey colour is more clear in the 2 example picture, sorry about the pictures I forgot about the difference in light. Hopes this helps abit
the aircraft are actually a different shade you are correct, but that is merely down to a different paint supplier. As for the repait, the IRIS restrictions prevent us from doing it. I have contact D Brice on occaisions to life the ban, but he never graces me with even a response, so it looks like you will have to learn to paint this one yourself
that paint is already out there, there is also a good photo real one done as well, the aircraft dont stay that pretty for long lol specially after techies, like our resident ukmil gaffer get their grubby mits on em...lol
