Heli funride at Earth Simulation Alderney
Hi
Hope you enjow watching this 4 minutes video of an amazing FS9 Heli at amazing Alderney scenery addon.
Best watched in HD and full screen. If and when Youtube finish processing the video for that?? it seems,it takes sometime, few hours after the link is activated first, to achieve that properly.
Feedback about any problems with the link would be appreciated.

Ps ..Any problems with viewing the video properly may be due to Youtube beeing very busy with Xfactor videos showing presently ??
The video capture was done with Frap and Window Vista 64 Movie maker ,plus Youtube seems to have started hosting videos in HD and up to 1008 pixels resolution.
So my recommendation, for those able to watch it, is to best view it by having HD clicked to red immediately the link start, then clicking the full screen square too afterward.
What a difference it makes . especially if one of the frame rates friendly helis are used , ie... Bell Floats Standard Huey,Rick's Bristol Sycamore or another amazing freeware great heli [FS2004 Hughes MH-6C "Vee tail". By Tim Conard ] easy to fly and very frame friendly heli inspite of beeing an FS9 model.

The Bell Floats Standard Huey is an FS9 model but is great for scenery watching, easy to fly and frame rates freindly. It is a free ware and can be downloaded from Hovercontrol on page 6 of FS9 heli downloads.

Thanks Tony for your feedback.Techy111 wrote:Nice Vid mate...out of interest is there no Rotorwash effect with that Heli...?

I am no expert on Rotorwash effect by different helis.
My guess is ?? that possibly the float helis has a Rotorwash effect but not all non float helis cater for them as they are not suppose to get so low towards deep water exept in emergency ditching ?? However the Default FSX bell does exihibit a water wash effect but the Bristol sycamore does not when Itested it over Alderney harbour.
The video fun over water was just to show how easy that heli is to fly.
I stand to be corrected on those comments by more experts than me on the subject.

Tony.. there is an FS9 beta available also mate. I've only flown 'this one' in FSX so it's possible there is an issue with FS9. I'll pull that one and see what comes down

Dave (et al)
No rotor wash effect on the Fs9 one
More is the pity -- but its made up by the beauty of the way it flies.
Thank you Rick

Possibly simply down to the unfinished nature of the project

.. or the omission of an fx file. I'll download the FS9 version and compare the two.. as much as is possible
It has to be remembered that Rick only uses FSX so a hurried 'gathering of parts' for the dual release may be the cause. We shall see
EDIT..

Odd.. I'm seeing wake effect in FS9. I have REPro active at the mo so what I'm seeing 'isn't the norm' but there's one there

Cheers Dave
Probably down to me NOT placing an FX file correctly
I'll go back and look
