FMC tutorial, CS757

Post by speedbird591 »

Just found this useful-looking tutorial on the Captain Sim forum for programming the 757 FMC. I know Peter's recent thread probably explains it thoroughly, but it might be useful for you cyber-heads out there! It's for FSX but I expect it's similar for FS9? I haven't got around to it myself, yet - and possibly won't! :S

Yep, thanks for that link. I've seen that one before, but it really doesn't explain what each setting is for, just, "put in this number and that number then hit execute" sort of thing. I've found a couple of other non aeroplane specific tutorials recently and will be having a go with those some time soon.

If you look in the Captain Sim folder in your FSX root folder, there is a 96 page PDF file which goes into a good deal of detail about the FMC.

It's in FSX/Captain_Sim/757/manuals/757 CAPTAIN FLIGHT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.pdf

It actually tells you what every button is for and what each function does.

If you have the PMDG 737 for FS9, that also has an extensive FMC guide.
