Went to London today and managed to buy Warpaint No.28 'Fairey Firefly Mks 1 to U9.' As usual well illustrated bur with minor text errors - proof reader not so good on this one.

Also managed to visit the Mall Gallery where the Maritime Artists were having their annual show - really good stuff with ships from all periods well represented as well as some harbour scenes - no bathing belles sighted however!!! The exhibition is on for the next few days.

Hi Hobby,

Email the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton. They will be able to give you that data. They are busy so expect to wait a while for an answer.

The National Archives in London. should have a copy of the Firefly 6 manual. They certainly have the Firefly 1 manual because I copied large chunks of it.

Best wishes

Thanks Steve.

I do wish that the Fleet Air Arm Museum had more staff to help with research. I went to London last week and was able to get a copy of the 'Warpaint' dealing with the Firefly - the three view drawing therein has answered a lot of my queries.
