Hi guys, I guess this is a question for the admins.
I have recently been exchanging a flurry of PMs with Leif and I always used to get an email informing me when I had a PM waiting for me here. For some reason this appears to have stopped working and now I only get a pop-up window that tells me I have a PM when I check into the forum. I have checked my profile settings and the 'notify me' box was selected. I even deselected it, saved my settings and then reselected it and saved again and it's still not sending me an email to say I have a PM waiting.
Is it a problem on the forum end or something with my profile? Any suggestions?

Not sure about that one here Larry, but did you find your way to the bar across the pond?

Sorry Leif but the damn doorman keeps turning me away with the same message as before "You are not authorised to view this resource."
It did work until you gave me enhanced access and now I'm totally shut out.

Hi Larry..
I'm not sure about this to be honest and the one person who would know has just gone on holiday (don't ya love it when that happens) I don't know if this is any indication of it working but I generally only see mail notifications to either Tony Madge or Paul (basys) so I know that these two use that function. I don't see the mail btw.. just the notification that an email has been sent.. a downside of having a web email address here
I'm sure Ben will pop in while he's away and will give you a correct answer one way or t'other ;-)

Re: Forum problems
I suppose I had better post an update on this little problem.....it now appears to be trying to make up for not sending me notifications in a timely manner as I have received several notices saying that I have PMs waiting over the past 2 days and when I check they are links to the PMs it didn't notify me of originally! To top it off I just got an email telling me that you had replied on this thread Dave 3 days after you originally posted!
Maybe the server is on a go slow.

Hi Larry
Could it be your email?
When I was busy with a mate in NZ and emailing often twice a day I sometimes got emails that made no sense as in mentioned thing following something I didn't know about until later that same day when I would get one sent many hours before the previous.
Almost as if when it was busy and clogged up it cleared from the top of the pile meaning some arrived days late, or at least many hour late out of sequence, sometime two mails out of sequence.
Just a thought

Hmmm...maybe Garry.
I am subscribed to this thread and so far I have not had an email saying you had replied to me and it's now over an hour since you posted. I will keep an eye on my email and see when I get the notification. All my other emails seem to be coming in in a timely manner.
