Dare I mention another engine run date for EP??

Post by DaveB »

Hi Guy's..

We've been asked to do a run on 13th June. The team have been asked for their thoughts and this is as much as I know for now. Should it become a 'goer'.. I'll let you know asap ;-)

To the best of my knowledge, we have 3 engines ready.. no.1 is minus it's starter so won't be joining in the fun :-(

Good to know Dave. Perhaps we could get no.1 going by hand-swinging the prop?

Ah yes.. the worlds only hand swung RR Tyne

So far, two of us have replied with a 'YES' (we're probably the only two who know how to use the 'Reply All' button) so I'll keep ticking the names off as they come in ;-)

BTW.. if someone out there has a supply (not a huge amount by any means) of DTD 585 hydraulic fluid.. please get in touch as we're quite desparate

I have to say that there's nothing I'd like more. We have the perfect collection of aircraft in the public viewing area.. Varsity T1.. Viscount.. Vanguard.. VC10.. One-Eleven and finally.. Concorde. What an absolute joy it would be if at least one engine off each were in running order :tunes: As a finale, we could have them ALL running at the same time! Grown men and boys would cry with pleasure ;-)

Just think of the flavour those barbequed sausages would have cooked to perfecton in Concordes reheat stream :)

Seriously there is such a diverse collection a few runners would make interesting listening :tunes:

Shame it can't be :-(

Come in uniform Ian (from your airline days of course) and the world might be your oyster. Then again.. you might be attacked by a bunch of BEA OAP's

Excellent.. :welldone:
