Nige..

No idea why but either my browser (IE) or something else appears to have let go as these shots have gone up to 1360x1024 and I'm sure they were smaller when I looked earlier  Can you make sure they're at 800x600 please mate ;-)

Btw.. I've found a less ratty 74 Sqn badge but it says SQUADRON where your's says Fighter Squadron. It's at Wiki and here.. http://www.raf.mod.uk/history_old/h74.html ;-)

It's a bit further south, think of clotted cream and lots of lovely sunshine, 263 Sqn Typhoons and Whirlwinds defending a certain H M Naval Base.

It's not Predannach (sp?) good guess though. If I'm in the circuit I can see Tavistock and all the way to Plymouth Sound.

The closest village to the airfield also has a rather unfortunate name................

Looking south towards Plymouth.

Hi Nigel,

RAF Harrowbeer? Good old Google Earth if I'm right. Nearby villages Axtown and Crapstone.

BTW your sig needs changing to http://www.fsairlines.net/signatures/CBF131.png

Regards

John

Well done, it is indeed Harrowbeer!

Had great fun making it and will upload if there's anyone who would like it.

I tried changing my sig but must have biffed it somewhere along the line - will give it another go!

edit: Success - thanks John!

Best wishes

I'll pass past Harrowbeer tomorrow morning on my way up to Eggesford. I look forward to being able to 'fly' from here on the sim. A friend of mine once took a flexwing microlight in there, and had a rather stern visit from the constabulary as a result. Now its a favourite of dog walker and learner drivers.

Best wishes to all,

Martin
