Snag with new FSX install...

I have just put on my new (very upgraded, it just uses the case and power supply from my old PC) system. It runs like silk with all the sliders well up, however I get CTD (and sometimes total lock-up) when I use the drop down menus at the top of thescreen. Whilst setting up, I need to do a lot of adjusting, so almost all I did from the set-up screen area. Even using the exit sometimes causes a crash (I now use Cntl plus C ;-) ), it seems OK when flying though.

If anyone has any ideas ( I will try a new .cfg later today), I would love to hear about them, I am still without internet (my ISP does not like the new network card, it seems, but it is fine on a mates internet in town!) so cannot get back on line until after my UK trip next week.

Have you got all the MS updates on matey... and i don't just mean for fsx. Is it still XP?
